5 Questions With : Anjali Hegde, CEO of Ansible Mobile in India

Anjali Hegde is a well-known name in the country's digital media industry. A professional with 15 years of experience across all aspects of digital media and marketing, Hegde was recently given charge to steer the launch of Ansible Mobile in India.
Hegde, who has been a part of IPG Mediabrands since over a decade now, was earlier heading Reprise Media.
AdAge India caught up with Anjali Hegde to know more about the launch of Ansible Mobile in India and how her experience from various other digital companies will help Ansible Mobile set shop in India.
Q. What is Ansible Mobile all about? What are its services?
Ansible Mobile is IPG Mediabrands' global full-service mobile and technology offering. Mobile is a fast growing media space and we have already been placing nearly 30% of our media spends on mobile through Interactive Avenues and Reprise Media - the two digital agencies of IPG Mediabrands.
Given the potential for mobile technologies to create engaging and effective brand solution, it was necessary for IPG to build the mobile practice from ground up in terms of robust technology capabilities. Following the acquisition of Australian mobile-tech company Mnet, IPG hived it off as a separate unit and branded it under Ansible globally. Q. How different is India market from other markets when it comes to mobile marketing? How big is mobile marketing in India? What is its growth potential?
