After making her debut in the Randeep Hooda starrer Laal Rang, newcomer Pia Bajpai will be seen in a short film The Virgins opposite Divyendu Sharma (of Pyaar Ka Punchnama) and Akshay Oberoi. Though her film's title is slightly bold, she claims that the movie is a family film.
Why has your film been named The Virgins?
Because it's a taboo topic, there is curiosity and people are wondering what they have made on virgins. My character Anika is going to get married in the film but she gets entangled in this whole virginity game. Even today, in small towns, talking about virginity is a big thing. When it comes to marriage, most people start to question if you had a relationship, how far have you gone with it? In the film too, we are trying to show how this affects a relationship or the chance of marriage.
